Warren Buffett was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on August 30, 1930. Their father was Mr. Howard Buffett and mother was Leila Buffett. He showed an interest in business and investing at a young age, buying his first stock at the age of 11 and delivering newspapers to earn extra money.
After graduating from the University of Nebraska, he went on to attend the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University, where he studied under investment legend Benjamin Graham.
After completing his studies, he returned to Omaha and began working as a stockbroker and eventually became the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. Throughout his career, he has been known for his value investing philosophy and his ability to generate long-term investment returns.
Shri Warren Buffett received his early education from Rose Hill Elementary School until 1942. After that, he graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1947. While studying in high school, Warren Buffett started his side business and investment venture, which was successful. He wanted to help his father’s business, but his father stopped him from doing so and asked him to complete his education first.
In 1947, he started college education from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and then transferred to the University of Nebraska where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Science in Economics at the young age of 19
Shri Warren Buffett had applied to Harvard Business School, but he was rejected. After that, he completed his Master of Science in Economics from the Columbia Business School of Columbia University.
Later, he attended the New York Institute of Finance, where he met his mentor Benjamin Graham and learned important lessons about the stock market.
Shri Warren Buffett had shown interest in investment business from a very young age. He was influenced by a book (One Thousand Ways To Make $1000) that he had borrowed from the Omaha Public Library.
Warren Buffett had been interested in the field of investments since the beginning. At the age of 11, he invested his saved $120 in the purchase of three shares of a company called Citi Services Preferred, which he had earned from selling sodas, peanuts, and magazines. His sister also bought three shares of the same company.
Unfortunately, the shares of the company went down for some reason, causing his sister to become worried about her investments. However, after some time, when the shares of the company rebounded, he sold them for a profit of only $5. But a few days later, the shares saw an incredible rise and each share reached a value of $202, which Warren Buffett bought for $38 per share and sold for a profit of $5. This made Warren Buffett quite satisfied.
In 1954, his mentor Graham Newman offered him a job at his company. He accepted and worked there for two years before Graham Newman decided to close down the company and retire from active investment business. This led Warren Buffett to return to his hometown Omaha. At the age of 25, with the support of his family and friends, he started The Buffett Partnership Limited. And since 1970, he has been the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.
When they started their company, they aimed to earn a return greater than 10% from the Dow Jones Index (American Stock Market Index). However, they managed to earn returns higher than 22% between the years 1957 and 1969 due to their skill.
When the partnership was closed, they invested together with some of their old partners in Berkshire Hathaway Inc., which resulted in their share capital increasing to $25 million and giving them control over Berkshire Hathaway.
At the start, Berkshire Hathway was involved in the textile business, which was struggling. Warren Buffett tried to pull the business out of the slump but was unsuccessful. In 1985, he finally decided to shut down the business completely.
In 1965, Warren Buffett took control of Berkshire Hathaway. Before the textile manufacturing unit closed, in 1967, Mr. Warren Buffett acquired two insurance companies for $8.6 million. He made a good profit from this investment. Despite the losses from the textile industry, the profits from the insurance companies kept Berkshire Hathaway profitable, which can be considered the beginning of the success of Berkshire Hathaway.
Later, he invested in several companies one by one and acquired them, which made him the richest person in the world by 2008. Today, his total assets are $133.7 billion, and he is one of the 10 richest people in the world. And holds the no 6th spot in the Forbes Realtime Billionares List.

The suit was made special for him during his trip to China. Mr. Buffett enjoyed his work so much that he even recommended it to Mr. Bill Gates, who now also wears the suit gifted by his friend.
